Byram Township Housing Rehabilitation Program

Posted: November 04, 2019

Interest-free loans are now being made available to qualifying Byram Township homeowners for basic home repairs through the Byram Housing Rehabilitation Program (BHRP).  The BHRP is sponsored by Byram as part of the Township's Affordable Housing Program mandated by the State.  To begin the process, homeowners must first submit a preapplication to determine their eligibility.  Applicants are considered on a first come, first served basis.

Financial assistance is offered to low- and moderate-income Township homeowners for basic home improvements in the form of a 0% interest, deferred payment loan of up to $17,000.  Loans are not due to be repaid until the house is sold.  Funding for the Program comes from Affordable Housing development fees that have been paid to the Township.
