Parks » C.O. Johnson Park

C.O. Johnson Park is Byram Township’s flagship park. C.O. Johnson is home to many of the town’s sports’ fields including Football, Baseball, and Soccer. The park also has Basketball Courts, Tennis Courts, and our increasingly popular Pickleball Courts painted on the tennis courts.

Enjoy our other recreational facilities at the park like the Skateboard Park or the Playground equipment. Make a day of your stay at C.O. Johnson Park by enjoying the walking paths and trails inside and surrounding the park including the Tamarack Park Trail, and stop for lunch in the park’s picnic area. Or, if it is open, stop by the C.O. Johnson Field house and grab a snack and a drink. Bocce Balls and other recreational or picnic equipment can be made available by request by contacting the Recreation Department.

Location: C.O. Johnson is located here right next to the Forest Lakes Community on the Northwest side of town.

Exit 25 off Route 80, take Route 206 North, about 5 miles to the traffic light at the intersection of Route 206 and Tamarack Road (Cranberry Deli is on the corner), turn onto Tamarack Rd.  At the end of Tamarack Rd., turn left.  The soccer/baseball fields with a small parking lot is visible on the right after ¼ mile, but keep going to the next park entrance another ¼ mile down the road. Once in the park, make the first right into the parking area.  Handicapped parking is available up the hill next to the playground.
