Garbage & Recycling:
Residents are reminded to contact Blue Diamond directly (973-598-9800) should there be any trash or recycling related issues.
Calling Blue Diamond directly will ensure a timely response to your issue as they are responsible for the trash and recycling operations.
All residents should remember:
• Containers should be placed at curbside no later than 6:00 AM on Tuesday/Friday (day of trash or recycling pickup). If your garbage or recycling is placed at curbside after pickup on your street, Blue Diamond is not obligated to return.
• You are permitted to place two (2) 45 gallon containers each week at curbside, with each weighing no more than 40 lbs. Blue Diamond has the right to refuse to pick up cans with a capacity greater than 45 gallons or weighing more than 40 lbs.
• One (1) bulk item (ex. sofa, chair, dresser, mattress, desk, rolled carpets, exercise equipment) per week (Tuesday) is permitted.
Also, in some areas where streets are narrow it is important the road is not blocked. If vehicles or other obstructions are blocking the road prohibiting the garbage/recycling truck from access, the police will be called. This could result in garbage/recycling not being picked up until the following week.
